SEO Philosophy
At SEO Savvy, we use a universal approach to search engine optimization. We take into account the overall goals of a website, the "big picture" and implement an SEO plan that supports those goals. A universal approach can be looked at as an overall Internet marketing strategy with search optimization as the foundation. It begins with an analysis and planning phase where we discuss the goals and target market of the website. Planning continues with developing an SEO strategy. An SEO strategy will take into account the current level of optimization of the website. It will look to fix problem areas, make improvements and design an overall optimization plan. The planning phase will include keyword research to identify that actual set of word(s) that customers are using to find the products or services that the client's website offers. We will look at competitors in the same market and analyze their SEO strategy. When the planning phase is complete we will have a clear strategy and task list to work from that is completely customized for the client's website.

Implementation is the next phase and is usually where the bulk of the initial time is spent. Depending on the size of the website and the amount of content that needs to be created, implementation can take many weeks to complete. Site structure and unique content are 2 of most important parts to implementation. SEO implementation will create a strong foundation based on the planning phase and industry recognized core principles of search optimization. Once these 2 phases are complete, a website will be prime for marketing success. An analogy would be to view your website as a broad fishing net as opposed to a single fishing line. A properly planned and implemented SEO strategy will make your website a broad fishing net where each page can be an entrance point. The wider and bigger the net the more fish can be captured. In this analogy the fish would be your customers.

The next step is to begin marketing the website. The previous steps worked primarily with on-page factors and building the foundation of the website. The marketing phase will begin working on off-page factors that will help expand the visibility of a website, improve rankings and bring targeted traffic to all pages of a website. The marketing phase will start building links to the website, establish recognition in the target market and building customer trust. Targeted traffic will begin to flow into all pages of a website, not just the homepage. It is important to note that each page of a website should be viewed as an entrance point to the entire website. The marketing phase should be looked at as a continuous cycle. Once the foundation is built the marketing phase will perpetuate using many different methods all based on measuring performance as they relate to overall goals of the website.
